A YEAR IS ONE ORBIT
A DAY IS ONE ROTATION
RetroCalendar visualizes a year as one Earth orbit and a day as one Earth rotation using local astronomical calculations.
YEAR
YEAR uses the calculated true orbital position of Earth.
Month Markers
Each month marker uses the physical orbital position at the beginning of that month. Because the markers represent calculated positions instead of equal divisions, the spacing between months may not be exactly equal.
EARTH
EARTH uses the current system time zone to determine the geographic presentation and calculates the current real pattern of daylight and night.
Local Calculations
Calendar, time-zone, orbit, orientation, and sunlight calculations are completed on the device.
Privacy by Design
RetroCalendar does not request GPS Location. It has no account, advertisements, analytics, tracking, subscription, or in-app purchases.
Free
RetroCalendar is free.
